Frequently Asked Questions
Can I book an appointment for friends and/or family members on my account?
No. Your friends and family members must create their own accounts in order to book an appointment online.
Can I change an appointment date?
If you booked online then you can change the date and time of your appointments yourself through our website. Otherwise, contact 02921999300.
Note: Changes must be made 24 hours prior to your appointment. Failure to attend any appointments or cancellations less than 24 hours in advance may result in you being charged the cost of your appointment at the discretion of the podiatrist.
Can I claim back the cost of my treatment through my private health insurance?
Some health insurance companies will cover the cost of Chiropody and Podiatry treatments so please check with your insurance provider.
Can I get a chiropodist/podiatrist to visit my home?
Yes, we offer home visits at a convenient time to yourself. To arrange a home visit please get in touch.
Can I receive treatment if I also see an NHS podiatrist?
Yes. Many of our patients receive treatment on the NHS and see us in between appointments.
Can I use home remedies such as corn plasters, verrucae treatment and athletes’ foot cream and powders?
Always ask the chemist and read the instructions or telephone us for advice. Some treatments can cause damage to your skin in certain conditions.
Can I view what appointments are available without an account?
Yes, all appointments are viewable by selecting the surgery location and selecting the dates available.
Do I need a GP referral to get an appointment?
No. Your GP may recommend that you seek a chiropodist/podiatrist’s advice and treatment but a referral is not needed to book an appointment with us.
Do I need a referral to come and visit?
In some scenarios, the doctor or any other health professional may recommend us to you. However, you do not need a referral. Many of our patients self-refer to our clinic.
How can I prepare for my treatment?
All we need is you and your feet. If we are seeing you for a biomechanical assessment, then please wear shorts and have your running shoes to hand.
